We learn continuously, both on the job and through formal training programs.Job DescriptionThe Sr.ProjectManageris responsible for delivery of medium to large, complex projects. As the face of theproject the SeniorProjectManagerhelps balance and manageprojectscope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders; develops, maintains, and manages full-scaleprojectplans and associated communications documents; identifies and managesprojectdependencies and critical path work; plans, schedules, and tracksprojecttimelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Estimates the resources and participants needed to achieveprojectgoals; develops and maintains demand and resource capacity models; determines and assesses need for additional internal and/or external staff and makes the appropriate recommendations during theprojectlifecycle. Develops, prepares and delivers to stakeholders and the organizationprojectstatus reports and corresponding presentations, analyzes their results, troubleshoots problem areas, and makescorresponding recommendations. Proactively identifies and manages changes inprojectscope and devises contingency plans. Managesprojectbudgets; participates in vendor selection; and manages vendors supporting projects. Manages development of business cases for proposed projects; conductsprojectlessons learned and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessfulprojectelements.The Sr.ProjectManagerbuilds, develops, and grows internal and external business relationships; proactively interfaces withprojectstakeholders on a regular basis; communicates standards forprojectexecution and reporting; and communicatesprojectexpectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely, consistent, and meaningful manner. Communicatesprojectsuccess criteria and disseminates them to involved parties throughout theprojectlifecycle; supports the processes and communications related toprojectexecution; responds to customer and business partner requests for service; and contributes to development and implementation of leading practices forprojectcommunications.Requirements:7+ years of increasing responsibility and a proven track record in leading delivery of large, complex IT projects. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Retail experience desired. Proven track record of delivering complex projects using varied development approaches for internal and externally developed applications as well as package applications. Strong knowledge ofprojectmanagement processes, methods, and standards. Experience managing a matrix team consisting of internal resources, contractors and vendors. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking to complement strong tactical execution skills.Ability to build relationships, influence and negotiate without authority across all levels of IT and business units.
