Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications & Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
• Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date
• One year of experience preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with physician-approved plans of care
• Implement treatment plans to improve strength balance mobility coordination range of motion endurance gait and functional independence
• Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises positioning mobility techniques and home programs
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Collaborate with physicians therapists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated high-quality patient care
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation

Pay: $35.00$40.00 per hour
