This community hospital maintains established clinical protocols and the infrastructure necessary to support call-based general surgery coverage across inpatient and emergency room settings on an on-site basis. The emergency room unit is staffed with nurses, technicians, and radiology services to support clinical operations throughout each assigned coverage period. Clinical operations are structured to ensure quality surgical care delivery for the patient population served.

Brigham City is a historic small town in Northern Utah, recognized for its downtown architecture, community events, and agricultural heritage rooted in peach farming along the western slope of the Wasatch Mountains. The area offers a range of attractions, including an annual quilt show, a local history museum, an open-air rocket display located 2 miles past the Golden Spike National Historic Site turnoff, and the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge. Main Street serves as a central hub for dining, shopping, and a farmers market, providing clinicians on assignment with accessible options during time away from clinical responsibilities.

Clinicians will provide general surgery call coverage on 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM) across inpatient and emergency room settings at an on-site facility, with 30 shifts required per month. Primary responsibilities include performing general surgery procedures and maintaining continuous availability for both scheduled and emergent surgical needs throughout each assigned call period. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment, and board certification in General Surgery is negotiable. An active state license, active state DEA, and prescriptive authority are required.
