Fine Jewelry Sales AssociateThe Fine Jewelry Sales Associate is a highly driven, client-focused sales professional responsible for delivering an elevated, relationship-driven luxury experience while driving revenue for our client. This is a hands-on sales role for an experienced jewelry or luxury sales professional who is confident engaging clients, building long-term relationships, closing business, and managing client needs from the initial conversation through final delivery and follow-up. The ideal candidate brings strong energy, urgency, emotional intelligence, and a genuine passion for fine jewelry. They are comfortable working in a busy, high-volume showroom, can manage multiple priorities at once, and take ownership of every detail of the client experience. The role requires strong knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, fine jewelry, bridal, and custom design, with the ability to guide clients through highly personalized purchases and true custom projects from concept through completion. This position is designed for a proven seller who is motivated by results and wants the opportunity to grow within a relationship-driven fine jewelry business.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesDrive personal sales by delivering a polished, personalized, high-touch client experience that reflects the Fine Jewelry brand.Build and maintain a loyal client base through proactive outreach, thoughtful follow-up, clienteling, referrals, and long-term relationship development.Confidently engage clients shopping for fine jewelry, bridal, diamonds, gemstones, repairs, redesigns, and custom jewelry, identifying opportunities to expand the relationship and sale.Educate clients on diamonds, gemstones, precious metals, craftsmanship, jewelry features, value, care, and relevant trends in a clear and credible manner.Meet and exceed individual sales goals while contributing to overall store and team performance.Demonstrate strong sales and negotiation skills, including the confidence to guide decisions, overcome objections, and close high-value sales.Provide professional service recovery and handle client questions, concerns, returns, and sensitive conversations with sound judgment and emotional intelligence.Assist the Owner and other team members with high-value client interactions and complex sales as needed.Guide clients through true custom jewelry projects from initial discovery through completion, including understanding design preferences, measurements, budget, materials, stones, and desired outcome.Translate client ideas into clear project details and coordinate effectively with the appropriate internal or off-site custom/design partners.Manage client jobs from start to finish, including custom projects, repairs, redesigns, appraisals, special orders, and other service needs.Maintain accurate timelines, documentation, status updates, client communication, and follow-through so commitments are completed as promised.Proactively contact clients regarding repairs, payments, pickups, project updates, appointments, and other outstanding needs.Remain highly aware of showroom activity and client needs, stepping in quickly to greet, assist, answer phones, support appointments, or help teammates as business demands shift.Successfully manage multiple client conversations, active jobs, calls, appointments, emails, leads, and sales priorities in a fast-paced environment.Maintain exceptional organization, time management, attention to detail, and follow-through across all client commitments and sales activity.Manage calendar and appointments and maintain timely professional communication by phone, email, text, and in person.Process sales accurately through the POS system and maintain accurate client, job, payment, and transaction information.Support store opening and closing procedures and help maintain a polished, organized, client-ready showroom and accurate product displays.Participate in offsite, after-hours, community, networking, Chamber, and client events as required to develop relationships and generate business.Represent the Fine Jewelry Company professionally in the community and actively look for opportunities to build new client relationships and referrals.Collaborate with the team on in-store promotions, events, and client outreach initiatives.Support appropriate social media activity related to jewelry, store events, client milestones, and brand initiatives in accordance with company expectations.Stay informed on jewelry trends, product knowledge, competitive activity, and market developments that support stronger client conversations and selling.Maintain accurate client records and complete timely follow-up, including thank-you communication and other relationship-building touchpoints.Support customer appraisals, memo item returns, inventory pricing, product entry, and other sales-related administrative responsibilities as assigned.Maintain meticulous awareness of inventory, displays, client items, repairs, custom projects, and active jobs.Use The Edge POS system and Microsoft Office tools to support sales, client communication, job tracking, and operational follow-through.Contribute positive energy, urgency, professionalism, and accountability to the sales floor and broader team culture.Lead by example through strong personal selling, responsiveness, be directed.Collaborative and culture-positive, with the ability to raise the energy and performance of the sales floor.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of fine jewelry, luxury jewelry, or comparable high-end luxury sales experience required.Strong fine jewelry knowledge, including diamonds, gemstones, precious metals, bridal, and luxury jewelry, required.Experience with custom jewelry design and the ability to guide a client through a custom project from discovery through completion strongly preferred.Candidates with extensive formal luxury jewelry training and strong sales performance may be considered if custom design experience can be developed through training.Demonstrated success building client relationships, developing repeat and referral business, and achieving individual sales goals.Experience working in a busy, high-volume, client-facing environment where multiple priorities must be handled simultaneously.Strong professional communication skills across phone, email, text, and in-person client interactions.Graduated Gemologist (GG), GIA coursework, or other gemological training preferred but not required.High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree is a plus.Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, email communication, Microsoft Office, POS systems, and general computer use required.Experience with The Edge POS software is a plus.CompensationCompetitive base compensation commensurate with experience. $55k-$70k, plus commissionTiered commission opportunity based on margin.Commission eligibility is expected to begin after the initial 30-day onboarding period.Quarterly incentive opportunities based on individual and team performance.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the sales floor and store environment as needed during the workday.Ability to use a computer, phone, POS system, email, and other standard office or retail equipment for extended periods of time.Ability to visually review jewelry, displays, client items, repair/custom details, documentation, and client information with accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to lift, carry, move,
