Operations Technician I - Assembler (1st shift)

Position Overview This role is an Assembler – Operations Technician working 1st shift (Monday to Friday, 7:00AM – 3:00PM). The technician will follow documented procedures to produce products accurately and efficiently, ensuring quality, safety, and organizational excellence. Responsibilities Produce products using specified tools and equipment, following documented instructions and SOPs. Flex and support the full product line across various processes and capacities. Observe and record key process variables to maintain consistency and quality. Accurately log daily operations, resolve or escalates concerns. Conduct inspections and tests to verify product accuracy and functionality; maintain data per operating standards. Adhere to 5S principles, keeping workstations clean, organized, and free of unnecessary items. Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, maintaining a safe working environment. Qualifications Understand and follow basic technical instructions and SOPs. Critical thinking: identify gaps to standards and resolve or escalates per processes. Mechanical aptitude: basic understanding of mechanical systems and components; use hand tools safely. Team communication: effectively communicate with team members and supervisors; provide immediate issue escalation. Adherence to Woodward’s core values. Time management: manage time to complete tasks within schedules. Lean mindset: apply 5S and waste‑reduction practices; participate in continuous improvement activities. Production system understanding: follow standardized work; actively participate in daily management system. Computer skills: basic use of email, spreadsheets, and data‑entry tools.
