Sustainability Marketing Associate Work Study

Position Overview This work‑study position is located in the Facilities Services Sustainability division at Union College. Eligible students will support the Sustainability Manager and the Sustainability Marketing Intern with sustainability operations and programming, including social media, event planning, record‑keeping, reporting, and additional tasks as needed. Job Details Department: Facilities Services – Sustainability Location: Facilities Services Building Supervisor: Grace Hotopp, Sustainability Manager Hours: Daytime; 5‑7 hour/week Rate: $9.70 per hour Positions: 1 Responsibilities Collaborate with Sustainability Manager and other sustainability associates. Assist with sustainability initiatives and programming on campus. Promote sustainability programs, resources, services, and events on social media and campus news sources. Develop, implement, and manage marketing and outreach to promote sustainability initiatives, including emails, flyers, posters, social media, and campus outreach tables. Serve as liaison to campus organizations, residences, and other departments to advertise and promote sustainability events or programs. Assist in managing and improving the campus recycling/composting program through visual art. Support the annual Green Fee program. Qualifications Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok). Experience with Canva, Photoshop, and/or other graphic design software. Energetic and self‑driven. Excellent organizational and communication skills (oral and written). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of sustainability or environmental studies preferred.
