Customer Support Intern (Summer 2027)

Job Description

Job Description

Customer Experience Internship  We're Carvana. And we're on a mission to change the way people buy and sell cars.

We're a disruptor, an innovator, and a team that's obsessed with creating an unforgettable customer experience. And we believe that mission starts with our people.

That's where you come in.

Forget what you think you know about internships. This isn't your average "get coffee and make copies" gig. This is a 9-week (June 7 – August 6, 2027), paid, immersive bootcamp designed to teach you how to drive customers happy at one of the most innovative companies in business today.

You'll be embedded in our world-class Customer Experience team, learning from the ground up what it takes to deliver moments of magic to our customers. You'll also get exposure to our Market Operations team, so you can see the driveway and Vending Machine experience up close and appreciate the full, end-to-end car buying journey. Our goal is to give you a 360-degree view of that journey and empower you to make a real, tangible impact.

This is your chance to be part of a team that's making history, all while building a foundation for your future career.

We are investing in your development with the ultimate goal of you joining us full-time, so we're looking for candidates who are passionate about building their future at Carvana post-graduation.

• Learn from the best: You'll go through an accelerated training program designed to give you a deep understanding of our customers, our business, and our secret sauce for success.
• Become a customer champion: You'll be on the front lines, engaging with real customers through live interactions via phone and chat to solve problems and create exceptional experiences.
• See the full journey: Get exposure to the Market Operations side of the business and gain insight into the driveway and Vending Machine experience, so you understand how every step of the car buying process comes together.
• Experience our innovation firsthand: Step away from the desk and see what makes Carvana different. You'll get exclusive tours of our iconic Car Vending Machine and state-of-the-art Inspection Center as you learn about all the teams that bring the customer experience to life.
• Tackle a real business challenge: You and your fellow interns will team up on a hands-on capstone project, presenting your innovative solutions to our senior leadership team at the end of the summer.
• Get a seat at the table: Participate in exclusive lunch & learn sessions with our Executives, get a behind-the-scenes look at our operations, and build a professional network that will last a lifetime.

At the end of the internship, full-time and part-time opportunities are available in our Advocate Operational roles, in either Customer Care or Market Operations. Those are your starting lines, not your finish line.

At Carvana, the growth doesn't stop in your first role. After 6 months, you become eligible to grow into other teams across the company. We have a ton of internal growth opportunities, and Customer Care is truly the launchpad for them. Because you've spent your time becoming the expert in the experiences we create for customers, you'll bring something every team values: a real understanding of the customer.

• Start: Join as an Advocate in Customer Care or Market Operations after graduation.
• Grow: Become eligible to move into other teams at the 6-month mark.
• Lead the way: Take the customer expertise you've built into whatever career you choose here.

We're looking for people who are fired up about our mission and ready to learn. While we don't expect you to have any prior corporate experience, we are looking for:

• Currently enrolled in a four-year university and on track to graduate in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028 (i.e., a rising senior).
• A genuine obsession with helping people and a deep sense of empathy.
• An insatiable curiosity and a desire to understand the "why" behind the "what."
• A top-notch communicator: you're clear, concise, and can talk to just about anyone.
• A true team player who is always willing to lend a hand.
• Resilience and a positive, can-do attitude. You see challenges as opportunities.

• A paid, full-time 9-week internship at $20/hr.
• A pathway to a full-time Advocate Operational role in Customer Care or Market Operations, with eligibility to grow into other teams at the 6-month mark. We're not just looking for summer help; we're looking for our next generation of team members.
• A hands-on learning experience that will look amazing on your resume and serve as a launchpad for your career, whether that's with us or beyond.
• Direct mentorship and coaching from a dedicated manager and a team that is invested in your growth.
• Unparalleled access to senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• An unforgettable summer filled with learning, development, and fun.
• And, of course, some seriously cool Carvana swag.

If you're ready to roll up your sleeves, make a difference, and launch your career at a company that's changing the entire car-buying industry, we want to hear from you.
