SERVICE MANAGER | MERMAID HOSPITALITY

$80,000–$90,000 per year

You notice the table that needs attention, the server who could use a hand, and the moment to pick up the pace. You know how to make a busy dining room feel welcoming, and you enjoy teaching others how to do it.

Mermaid Hospitality is looking for a hands-on Service Manager who takes pride in great service and helping a team get better. You’ll be a visible presence on the floor, setting the tone, coaching the team, and making sure guests feel cared for from arrival to goodbye.

What you’ll do

• Lead service with clear direction and a calm presence during the rush
• Coach servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff on hospitality, menu knowledge, timing, and attention to detail
• Build guest relationships and handle concerns with warmth, good judgment, and follow-through
• Work closely with the kitchen to keep communication clear and service running smoothly
• Help recruit, onboard, and develop a strong front-of-house team
• Manage opening and closing routines, scheduling, labor, and day-to-day cost controls while maintaining health and safety standards

What you’ll bring

• At least 3 years of management experience in busy, upscale restaurants
• Strong food, beverage, and service knowledge
• Familiarity with Toast, OpenTable, or similar systems
• An encouraging coaching style and the confidence to hold people accountable
• The ability to prioritize quickly while staying attentive to guests and your team
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay and benefits
$80,000–$90,000 annually, plus health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k); paid time off; paid training; and an employee discount.
