Role Description This hybrid role of Music Therapist (MT-BC) requires working in the Greater Indianapolis area, with the flexibility to perform some duties remotely. The Music Therapist will design and implement music-based therapeutic interventions for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, tracking progress, and collaborating with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support and achieve meaningful therapeutic goals. Additional responsibilities may include attending team meetings and maintaining proper documentation in compliance with state and organizational standards. DDSi has its own facility with a music room. Qualifications Expertise in Music Therapy and proficiency in utilizing music as a therapeutic tool. Strong understanding of working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities and knowledge of appropriate treatment approaches. Familiarity with mental health principles in the context of therapeutic care. MT-BC certification required and compliance with continuing education standards in the field of music therapy. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment. Preferred qualifications: experience in developmental disabilities, an understanding of the Indiana Medicaid Waiver Program, and familiarity with community-based therapy practices. W2 and 1099 Available. DDSi will beat any service provider pay rate in the state of Indiana. who serve the FSW and CIH Waivers.
