Safety Coordinator

TSH Laredo is seeking an Onsite Safety Compliance & Driver Orientation Specialist responsible for promoting a strong safety culture while providing driver orientation, training, and ongoing compliance support. This position will be required to travel to Nashville, TN occasionally for training purposes. Key Responsibilities Conduct new-driver orientation and training. Train drivers on company policies, safety procedures, DOT/FMCSA requirements, and customer expectations. Verify required training and orientation documentation. Monitor driver compliance with PPE, cargo securement, inspections, and safe operating procedures. Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and recommend corrective actions. Conduct safety discussions, inspections, and compliance reviews. Maintain accurate safety and compliance records. Assist with DOT, customer, insurance, and internal audits. Coach drivers and provide refresher training when needed. Communicate safety concerns and trends to Operations and Safety Management. Serve as a safety resource for drivers and assist with operational needs as assigned. Provide backup support to the Southbound Dispatcher. Qualifications Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work effectively with drivers and cross-functional teams. Ability to work varying days and hours as needed. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
