About the Position

• Perform general nuclear medicine examinations, therapeutic procedures, and PET/CT patient exams.
• Provide nuclear medicine services in a hospital-based acute care environment, including on-call coverage.
• Perform quality control measures and patient exams/procedures as requested by medical staff.
• Assist radiologists and other medical professionals during examinations and procedures.
• Verify written and electronic orders and relevant patient information to ensure timely completion and reporting of exams.
• Complete accurate documentation required for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of examinations.
• Perform ancillary duties related to exam distribution, billing, and archival processes.
• Properly document the administration, receipt, return, decay, and disposal of radioactive materials in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment in a busy and stressful healthcare environment.
• Effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting required deadlines.

Requirements

• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Allied Health Education program or equivalent.
• Current ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB certification required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required.
• 1 year of post-graduate experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, after-hours shifts, and on-call assignments as required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
