Business Litigation Associate

A leading U.S.-based law firm is seeking a highly motivated Business Litigation Associate with at least 5 years of relevant experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex litigation matters in a collaborative and fast-paced legal environment.

Location: Detroit, MI (Preferred) | Also open to Michigan offices, Chicago, IL, Washington, DC

Key Responsibilities

• Handle business and commercial litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents
• Develop and execute case strategies
• Manage cases independently and as part of a legal team
• Support trial preparation and client representation
• Work on disputes related to:
• Supply chain litigation
• Commercial disputes
• International trade and tariffs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business/commercial litigation
• Strong experience in:
• Drafting pleadings and motions
• Case strategy development
• Managing litigation matters
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Eligibility Requirements

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available) | Must be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction

Preferred Skills

Experience in supply chain litigation | Exposure to international trade or tariff-related matters | Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Compensation: $205,000.00 per year
