About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Acuity Adaptable Unit – Indiana

Start Date: September 3, 2026

Location: Terre Haute, Indiana

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with self-scheduling and block scheduling options. Weekend requirements include 3-4 weekend shifts per 4-week period. Two summer and two winter holidays required annually.

Highlights:

• 18-bed Acuity Adaptable Unit with flexible nurse-to-patient ratios based on patient acuity (ICU level 2:1, IMC level 3-4:1)
• Diverse patient population including cardiac, stroke, respiratory failure, DKA, and sepsis cases
• Collaborative environment with hospitalist in-house 24/7, dedicated respiratory therapist each shift, and ICU-trained charge nurse serving as rapid response
• EPIC charting system with centralized telemetry monitoring using Phillips equipment
• Drip titration required; experience with critical care protocols essential
• Two shifts of unit-specific orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active Indiana RN license or compact state license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• ICU or IMC/PCU stepdown nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience and rhythm interpretation skills mandatory
• Competency in managing ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen equipment
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
