Farm Research Technician

Farm Research Technician – Calf Milk & Dairy This permanent part‑time position supports dairy production and calf management, ensuring the health, productivity, and cleanliness of our dairy operations. Employees must be fitted for a half‑mask respirator. Key Responsibilities Cow Milking: collect salable, high‑quality milk with accuracy and care. Milk Quality: measure and record milk weights, collect required samples for analysis. Runner Duties: maintain stall beds, flush alleys, assist with moving cows to and from the parlor efficiently and safely. Calf Care: feed and care for newborn calves, including preparing and delivering nightly bottles, monitor health and living conditions. Data Collection: weigh calves and collect study measurements and data for research and herd management. Chores & Maintenance: power wash and clean farm equipment, scrape lots, and perform additional maintenance tasks as needed. Schedule Part‑time. Mix of 5am–1:30pm and 9am–5:30pm. Must be available every other weekend and every other holiday. Schedule provided 2weeks in advance.
