Local CDL Class A Truck Driver

Location:  Erwin, NC 
Schedule: Tuesday – Friday | 4:00 AM start (until route completion)
Pay: $18.50 – $20.00 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Local CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team. This position involves local deliveries and pickups, ensuring timely and accurate transportation of goods while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company-owned and leased CDL Class A vehicles for local deliveries and pickups
• Ensure safe, timely, and accurate transportation of products
• Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
• Accurately complete delivery paperwork and logs in a timely manner
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during all deliveries
• Communicate any delivery issues, delays, or discrepancies to dispatch
• Operate material handling equipment (MHE) as needed
• Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and proper care of assigned equipment and vehicles
• Report to work on time and maintain consistent attendance
• Meet productivity and delivery goals efficiently
• Work overtime as needed (40+ hours per week)

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A License (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
• Ability to safely operate and maintain equipment
• Must wear non-slip steel toe boots
