QA / QC Manager

Position Purpose

Owns the quality system that proves the plant was built correctly. Every inspection, test and certificate needed for turnover, warranty, insurance or regulatory review runs through this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and enforce the project quality plan, inspection and test plans, and the witness and hold point schedule.
• Inspect incoming equipment and materials on arrival, document damage, and protect warranty and insurance claims through timely reporting.
• Control welding quality, including welder qualification, weld procedure specifications, weld maps, NDE coordination and repair tracking.
• Witness and document pressure testing, hydrotest, flushing, cleanliness verification and passivation of process systems.
• Verify electrical and instrumentation installation quality, including loop checks, termination inspection, cable megger testing and grounding.
• Own the turnover package structure so that each system handed to commissioning carries a complete, auditable dossier.
• Track non conformance reports to closure and escalate systemic contractor quality problems.
• Assemble the final documentation set covering certificates, test records, calibration data and as builts.

Required Qualifications

• Eight or more years of QA/QC leadership on industrial construction or process plant projects.
• Working knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII and IX, and NDE methods including RT, UT, PT and MT.
• Experience building complete system turnover packages.
• CWI certification or equivalent welding inspection credential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hygienic and stainless process piping experience, including passivation and riboflavin testing.
• ISO 9001 internal auditor training.
• Familiarity with instrument calibration and loop check documentation.
