Job Opportunity: Medical Lead Veterinarian
Our organization in Glenwood Springs, CO is on the lookout for a Medical Lead Veterinarian to deliver exceptional care for small animals while setting medical standards and mentoring our veterinary team. In this role, you will handle a varied caseload that encompasses wellness checks, internal medicine, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgical procedures, all while advocating for preventive care and educating clients.
This position involves close collaboration with practice leadership to enhance workflows, guarantee outstanding patient outcomes, and cultivate a compassionate, client-focused environment. We are searching for candidates who are not only skilled clinicians but also enjoy leadership roles, teaching, and fostering enduring relationships with both pet owners and team members.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality medical care for small animals.
- Guide and uphold medical standards within the practice.
- Mentor and support veterinary staff in their professional development.
- Manage a diverse range of cases, including wellness, internal medicine, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgery.
- Promote preventive care and educate clients on best practices.
- Collaborate with leadership to optimize operational workflows.
- Ensure excellent patient outcomes through effective care strategies.
- Foster a compassionate and client-centered culture within the practice.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent.
- Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state.
- Strong clinical skills and experience in small animal care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passion for mentoring and teaching others.
- Ability to build lasting relationships with clients and staff.
