Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients
• Document patient information and care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Complete NIH and stroke education requirements as mandated for acute care RN roles
• Float to other units as needed based on facility staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license or compact license in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience, with specialty experience within the last year
• EPIC electronic health records experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIH and stroke education required
• One supervisory reference required at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume acute care emergency department
• Familiarity with travel nursing compliance requirements and assignment expectations
