NC Programmer

CNC ProgrammerWe are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our engineering and manufacturing team. This position will be responsible for developing CNC programs, improving machining processes, supporting new equipment integration, and troubleshooting machining and automation systems. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on machining experience and the ability to work with complex CNC equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop CNC programs for vertical, horizontal, and 5-axis mills, as well as CNC lathes.Improve machining strategies and processes for existing and new parts.Set up CNC machines and troubleshoot machining and manufacturing equipment.Support the integration of new machinery, automation, and production equipment.Design and develop fixtures for CNC machining and CMM inspection.Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing methods, equipment, and operating procedures.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on machining, automation, quality, and productivity.Work closely with engineering, production, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues.Assist with equipment troubleshooting involving controls, robotics, conveyors, and PLC systems.Qualifications3+ years of CNC machining and programming experience.Minimum 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.At least 3 years of manual machining experience.Experience with CNC programming software, preferably Mastercam.Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.Experience with CNC mills and lathes; 5-axis experience is highly desirable.Knowledge of industrial robotics, controls, conveyor systems, and PLC programming is a plus.EDM experience is highly valued.Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.Preferred Skills5-axis CNC machiningMastercam programmingSolidWorks / 3D CADCNC setup and troubleshootingFixture design and developmentRobotics and automationPLC and machine controlsEDM machiningContinuous improvementPrecision manufacturingWork EnvironmentThis is a hands-on manufacturing and engineering position requiring regular interaction with CNC machinery, production equipment, automation systems, and manufacturing personnel.
