Quality Engineer

Everywhereyoulook Responsibilities Program quality support and customer interface Review customer quality requirements and ensure products and processes meet requirements Review customer returns Product failure investigation Material review management (waivers, deviations, discrepancy reporting) Conduct and support internal audits Quality documentation development Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or other STEM related discipline Understanding of customer contract review, quality requirement flow downs 3 years quality assurance or related engineering experience (aerospace/aviation preferred) Must be able to read and interpret Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing drawings including specifications, standards and procedures Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management system environment Must be familiar with the application and use of mechanical inspection techniques and measurement tools Experience in managing calibration preferred. Experience in RCCA/PA, continuous improvement, fishbone analysis, and 5 Why methodologies Excellent oral and written communication skills (i.e. customer and supplier interface) Extensive familiarity and practical use of computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Preferred skills and capabilities Ability to set and achieve goals Understanding of quality processes Familiarity with DCMA/Gov’t Source Inspection Knowledge of six sigma tools Statistical software, (i.e. Minitab, JMP, R) Green Belt certified CMM Programming Ability to work independent #J-18808-Ljbffr Dormont Manufacturing Co
