Job Description This position will be required to be onsite at the UCSF locations for the first 3-6 months for training/orientation and then be required to come onsite one week per month. Under the technological supervision of the Chief Dosimetrist, the direct supervision of the Clinical Chief of Physics, and professional direction of the Clinical Faculty, the Dosimetrist designs external beam treatment plans for patient treatments by using a treatment planning computer, computer support system, and computer quality improvement verifications and others with quarterly rotations to all radiation oncology sites (Mt Zion, Parnassus and Mission Bay). The Dosimetrist accepts assignments by the Chief Dosimetrist, plans and carries out the successive steps and handles problems and deviations in the work assignment in accordance with instructions, policies, previous training, or accepted published practices.
