Title
Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Schedule
- Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
- Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed

Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per week

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience with electronic charting system: Epic
- Telemetry/PCU/stepdown experience expected

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in the Progressive Care Unit.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry readings.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan and implement patient care.
- Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and post-operative care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Compliance / Notes
- Flu vaccine is required (medical/religious exemptions only).
- Documentation deadline: Required documents due 2 Fridays before start date.
- Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing.
- Pre-start modules: 10-15 hours of modules; some due 1 week prior.
- Infusion pump and glucometer training must be completed by the Sunday prior to start.
- Pending licenses are not accepted; travelers must have required state licensure at submission.
- Local candidate rule: No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius.
