Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction and maintenance, with a focus on ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities. This role requires a hands-on approach to building operations, maintenance tasks, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to uphold high standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Interpret and work from schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Execute concrete finishing and forming tasks as required for various projects.
Oversee construction site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Assist in construction estimating for upcoming projects to ensure accurate budgeting.
Carry out welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
Plumb fixtures and systems according to specifications.
Engage in frame carpentry for structural support and aesthetic finishes.
Manage flooring installation projects, ensuring proper techniques are applied for durability.
Install drywall efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

Proven experience in building maintenance or construction roles.
Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
Strong skills in concrete finishing, forming, welding, plumb work, frame carpentry, flooring installation, and drywall installation.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites is essential.
