In this role, you will collect blood from patients, take their vitals and do various patient contact intake. This is a role that can make a significant impact in people’s lives, helping them identify underlying conditions and stay healthy. Responsibilities Prioritize requests for sample collection based on urgency Collect patients’ personal information Take vitals and perform some lab work. Provide patients with reassurance during the collection process Use sterilized needles, vials, and other equipment to draw blood Correctly label samples and send for testing Qualifications Previous experience as a Phlebotomist or Phlebotomy Technician Phlebotomy diploma preferred Knowledge of best practices in patient identification methods Familiarity with the legal requirements regarding blood draws and fluid samples Strong computer and data entry skills Certified Medical Assistant #J-18808-Ljbffr
