DISHWASHER (FULL AND PART TIME)

Position Overview DISHWASHER (full‑time and part‑time) at the Obama Presidential Center, 6001 South Stony Island Avenue, Chicago, IL 60637. Applications accepted online only. Schedule : Monday through Sunday. Two shifts available between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Compensation : $21.00 per hour. Includes free shift meals, paid training, and growth opportunities. Responsibilities Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash by hand or place in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine according to assigned equipment. Wash pots, pans, and trays following assigned procedures. Polish silver using burnishing machine, tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, or hand cloth as equipment dictates. Maintain compliance with safety procedures and sanitation standards. Monitor and maintain temperature and chemical levels per standards. Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety and sanitation standards. Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure safety and sanitation compliance. Wipe down worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces. Remove trash and dispose in designated containers; clean garbage cans with steam or hoses. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Assist in loading and unloading supplies and product. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications At least one year of prior food utility or dishwashing experience in a restaurant or hotel environment.
