Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in San Francisco, California. The role involves providing specialized care to obstetric patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The nurse will be responsible for managing patient care, assisting with deliveries, and providing postpartum support, working nights in a 12-hour shift schedule.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California RN license, AHA ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications (must be in hand at time of submission), at least 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience with a minimum of 1 recent year, postpartum experience, ability to circulate for cesarean sections, and previous travel assignment experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetric patients, familiarity with Epic charting system, ability to float within UCSF facilities, and recent experience working with interdisciplinary teams
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius
• Additional Information:
  • Must work 4 weekend shifts per contract and have the ability to float as needed
  • RTO (Request for Time Off) disclosed at time of submittal; requires manager approval
  • Start date is 08/18/2026, with orientation scheduled the week prior
  • Must have completed required modules prior to start, including teaching hospital modules, if applicable
  • All certifications and license must be active and in hand at time of submission
