Position Overview

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in the ICU, your insights and contributions to patient care are highly valued and encouraged. Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care and overseeing all unit functions during assigned shifts. Working alongside the management team, the CNC directs, assesses, and evaluates nursing care in line with established policies and procedures. This role also serves as a resource for staff and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values, thereby enhancing patient experiences and clinical results that contribute to overall departmental success.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitates admission and discharge processes to promote efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
• Engages in continuous evaluation of the quality of care services provided in the unit, collaborating with management team members.
• Works with subject matter experts and fellow managers to foster a teamwork-oriented environment that enhances outcomes and service quality.
• Embraces a patient-first approach and participates in service recovery when necessary.
• Contributes to improving staff engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly check-ins.
• Provides input on the recruitment, selection, and training of new staff. Recommends and executes actions related to training, conflict resolution, personnel policy adherence, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures to ensure organizational excellence.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor resources in accordance with patient care requirements and productivity standards.
• Ensures effective inventory management and assists in overseeing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• No travel is required.
• No prior experience is necessary.
