As a Security Officer Full Time Truck Gate in Dundalk, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government port location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and personnel. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and use computer or tablet tools as needed. Thur 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and maritime facility users while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned port facilities, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, check credentials as directed, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Document observations, patrol activities, and security-related incidents accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
