- Conduct evaluations for patients of all ages, employing standardized assessments and observational techniques to inform your practice.
- Craft tailored treatment plans that balance immediate goals with long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families, to ensure integrated care.
- Educate patients and their families to empower progress beyond the therapy room.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to promote seamless care continuity.
- Maintain precise documentation adhering to all regulatory guidelines.
- Engage in continuous education and peer networking to stay abreast of advancements in the field.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based interventions for clients of diverse backgrounds and ages.
- Strong interpersonal skills to connect effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary collaborators.
- Flexible in adapting treatment methods to accommodate various linguistic and cultural needs.
- Solid clinical judgment and the ability to think critically.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and compliance standards.
