Company DescriptionLeading Financial Services firm in Newark, NJ looking to hire top Accounting/Finance personal.Job DescriptionFinancial Services company is seeking a motivated individual to join the Tax Department located in Newark, NJ. The position requires a team player responsible for the maintenance of tax records and the preparation of composite tax returns and related reports to ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and/or international tax regulations. Responsibilities include analysis of the domestic and international tax compliance and financial reporting for insurance & non-insurance companies.QualificationsBachelors degree in accounting or other related business disciplines requiredCPA and/or Masters degree in tax or accounting a plusCorporate Tax Experience (5+ years), financial services sector is preferred, life insurance expertise a plusFormal legal training a plusKnowledge of corporate tax topicsStrong GAAP accounting for taxes: ASC-740/FAS 109/FIN48Understanding of financial service companies including Insurance, Investment, and Asset ManagementStrong oral and written communication skillsExcellent organizational/analytical skills requiredProven leadership track record strongly desiredSolid computer skills - proficient in Lotus Notes, standard Microsoft applications and CorpTax Compliance software a plusLooking for someone who is assertive, creative and proactiveStrong work ethic and able to partner in a team-oriented environmentOrganized and flexible - ability to manage multiple projects/assignments, while meeting deadlinesAdditional Information120k plus BonusSummaryFunction: Accounting/AuditingExperience level: Mid-Senior LevelIndustry: Financial Services
