Cashier Prep, Northeast Middle School
To assist in the preparation and service of quality food to students in a quick and pleasant manner. Responsible for all general food preparation, serving and sanitation procedures. Assists in the preparation of vegetables, salads, sandwiches and other menu items. Assists in counter set-up and breakdown. Assists in serving of daily menu items. Responsible for sanitation in specific work areas and general kitchen cleanup. Performs other duties as requested by supervisors.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Previous experience with large-scale cooking and food preparation/serving. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency and weight measurements, volume and distance.
