Simply put, the mission is to build value for each customer, employee, supplier and community we serve by bringing the best; the best products, best people and best ideas.Your day to day as a Delivery Driver CDL-AAs a Full-Time Delivery Driver CDL-A at Upper Lakes Foods you’ll take the wheel of a tractor trailer, navigating the roads while ensuring timely deliveries of our diverse product range, including meat, produce, frozen goods, and more. Your role will involve manually unloading these products using a two-wheeler on metal truck ramps, where your customer service skills will shine as you create a positive experience at each site. Safety is a top priority, so you'll operate in full compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, ensuring that every delivery is not only efficient but also secure. Operating a tractor trailer safely is essential, so a valid Class A CDL is required. You'll be unloading various products using a two-wheeled hand cart, so physical strength and stamina are crucial; lifting and moving items in a variety of sizes, with boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Moving product with the two-wheeled cart may have a combined weight up to 500 pounds. Familiarity with software for pre-trip inspections and invoice verification, along with the ability to maintain delivery schedules, is equally important.
