Risk Analyst

Serve as the primary risk and insurance hub, delivering executive-level insights on exposures, financial performance, and claims trends.Oversee financial data synchronization and reporting across Alphabet entities to maintain strict reporting standards and compliance.Develop profitability benchmarks, global performance indicators, and advanced analytics in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.Drive alignment and collaborate with commercial business partners on high-stakes strategic initiatives.Advise on risk mitigation and insurance provisions to facilitate contract negotiations across the Alphabet portfolio.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.4 years of analysis, accounting, or analytics related experience in an insurance or financial services environment.Experience with risk management, insurance, and captive insurance companies.Experience working with insurance financial statements and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) accounting standards.Preferred qualifications:Advanced degree (e.g., MS/MBA).Designations (Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)).Familiarity with Google Workspace, Agentic processes and AI-related skills.Ability to deliver high-quality presentation materials in tight time frames.Excellent project management skills with a focus on organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.Excellent communication and team-work skills, including working with various internal stakeholders.Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. You will directly inform strategic business decisions across all Alphabet entities, requiring a unique combination of insurance and financial expertise, advanced risk management techniques, and a comprehensive, macro-level perspective. You will have exposure to an extensive array of teams and associated risk profiles, operating at a scale and within a position that is truly unique in the industry.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
