1st Shift CNC Machinist

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Milling Machinist to setup, operate, and maintain our computer numerical control (CNC) milling machines. In this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality precision parts from raw materials, ensuring strict adherence to blueprints, engineering drawings, and quality standards. Salary: $62,400 - $83,200 per year Shift: First Work Hours: 7 AM - 3 PM Education: No Degree Required Responsibilities Set up and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis CNC milling machines to perform precision machining operations. Load and unload raw materials (aluminum, steel, titanium, plastics, etc.) into fixtures, vises, or chucks. Select, align, and secure cutting tools, attachments, and materials onto machines using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Verify part programs and perform dry runs or "air cuts" to ensure zero tool collisions and accurate pathing. Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications. Perform first-article and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, and CMM equipment. Monitor machine performance and adjust offsets, feeds, speeds, and tooling to maintain strict dimensional tolerances. Solid understanding of G-code and M-code to make manual edits and adjustments at the machine controller. Expertise in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges). Mathematical skills, including basic geometry, trigonometry, and shop math. Manual lifting up to 50 lbs. Skills Proficiency in CNC machining. Qualifications Years of experience: 3 years. Experience level: Experienced.
