Project Accountant

We are working closely with a mid sized contractor that has a significant project portfolio across healthcare, hospitality and commercial builds. About the role They are looking for someone who can: Ensure original budgets and contract values are correct in the accounting software. Analyze and evaluate project data and metrics to track and report project progress. Support in forecasting activities in preparation for monthly cost to complete meetings and analysis of variances Communicate project status and regular project updates to management. Create and maintain comprehensive project reports to assist management in decision-making. Assist in coordinating the efforts of various team members. Perform audits to ensure cost accuracy and adherence to financial regulations. Reconcile Project receivables and payables and support accounting in processing and proper coding. What you will need Must have 4-5 years Construction accounting experience. Proficiency in financial accounting and reporting. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Experience with Sage or Coins.
