Your primary focus will involve conducting hearing and vision screenings essential for IEP testing and providing consultative support and staff training on student health needs. From assisting with allergies and feeding tubes to managing seizures, your guidance and intervention will ensure both students and educators confidence in navigating a range of medical circumstances. You’ll be serving one school site with a case load of approximately 78 students on IEPs.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current Certified School Nurse License for California
• Valid PPS Credential
• Experience with hearing and vision screeners, especially for IEP testing
• Comfort and proficiency in training staff on supporting students with diverse medical concerns
• Commitment to full-time, onsite work for 37.5 hours per week in the 2026/2027 school year
• Strong communication and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mandated hearing and vision screenings for IEP evaluations
• Serve as a resource to staff and families regarding health issues such as allergies, feeding tubes, and seizures
• Provide training and consultation for educators supporting students with health needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for 78 students on IEPs
• Maintain accurate health records and uphold confidentiality protocols
