Glass Production Technician

• Shift/Hours: Monday through Thursday. 40 hours per week (5:45 AM – 4:15 PM or 4 x 10-hour days.)
• Pay Rate: $22-25/hr
• Location: Mountain Lakes, NJ 07932
• Experience: Technical aptitude and mechanical abilities

PrideStaff has openings on 1st shift for Glass Production Technicians working with a local manufacturing client. 

This position is perfect if you like being an essential part of the production process and enjoy working on a tight team of experienced, dedicated manufacturing professionals. 

The Production Technician will be trained to work on all facets of the production process. This company has a strong market position and manufactures component parts for medical device and telecommunications customers.

Production Technician Responsibilities: Handle and process glass in a safe an efficient manner. Work to meet daily production goals through effective flow of units. Inspect product for quality throughout the process to meet or exceed expectations.

Glass Production Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Read design drawings and produce to specifications
• Operate cutting machines and sanding machines
• Maintain machines and ensure all preventive maintenance is completed on time, in coordination with the maintenance mechanic
• Quality assurance by self-inspection of assemblies to achieve Zero defects
• Support the final inspection activities with the QC team
• Use hand torch and other heating instruments during the production process

Core Skills and Requirements

• High School diploma
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude
• Above average mathematical abilities
• Above average grasp of concepts related to weights and measures
• Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Must have knowledge of using the cable assembly machines, hand tools and soldering operatio
