HS/MS Choir Teacher

Viroqua Area Schools is seeking an enthusiastic, high character candidate to join our great staff as HS/MS Choir Teacher.

Candidates must have the ability to:

• Create a program and class environment favorable to learning and personal growth;
• Display strong communication and organizational skills especially when it comes to annual concerts, solo & ensemble, field trips, and additional performances;
• Motivate and lead students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for education in accordance with each student's ability through large ensemble rehearsals, as well as individual and group lessons;
• Establish respectful relationships with students, parents, professional colleagues and the Viroqua community.
• The teaching load includes one HS Concert Choir, 6-8 Choir, and 5th grade general music.

This position will begin at the start of the 2026-2027 school year.

The position requires Wisconsin DPI Certification in Choral Music (1511) w/General Music licensure (1515) additionally preferred.
