Requirements Board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Active, unrestricted state license Current DEA registration Minimum 2+ years of experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations Advanced knowledge of dementia-related behavioral management Confidence managing medically complex, polypharmacy-heavy patients Ability to function independently while contributing to a collaborative care model

In this role, you will:

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and longitudinal follow-up care
• Treat mood disorders, psychosis, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and neurocognitive decline
• Manage Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) using evidence-based interventions
• Optimize medication regimens while minimizing polypharmacy and adverse effects
• Conduct capacity assessments and behavioral risk evaluations
• Collaborate closely with nursing leadership, medical teams, and social services
• Provide staff education and guidance to strengthen behavioral health practices within facilities
