Job Description
Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team in providing high-quality care to critically ill neurological patients. The successful candidate will possess the skills and expertise to manage complex conditions while ensuring a compassionate environment for patients and their families.

Shift Details

Shift Type: 3x12 or 4x12 by traveler preference
Shift Hours: Nights; 18:45 - 07:15
Block scheduling may be accommodated

Patient Care

The Neuro ICU RN will care for patients with various neurological conditions, such as:

Ischemic or hemorrhagic strokes
Post thrombectomy care
Traumatic brain injuries
Status epilepticus
Spinal cord injuries
Other neurological diagnoses requiring critical care intervention

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and manage complex neurological conditions.
Utilize specialized equipment, including intracranial pressure monitors and external ventricular drains.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
Educate patients and families on conditions and treatment plans.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of Neuro experience is required.
First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS.
Active AL or Compact License required.
Must be willing to float to the CCU as needed.
Weekend shifts (EOW) are required.
Local applicants must reside outside a 75-mile radius.
