Student Nutrition Assistant

Monticello Trails Middle School 2026-2027 School Year

Shift Hours: 6 hours per day, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Position Function (include but are not limited to the following):

• Prepares foods from recipes or instructions
• Cleans and properly stores equipment
• Observes health and sanitation regulations
• Attend the Food Safety Basics Class as required
• Receives, unpacks, stores and rotates food and supply stocks
• Serves food to students and staff
• Washes and sanitizes dishes, serving areas, coolers, preparation surfaces and equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Student Nutrition Kitchen Manager

Working Conditions:

• Able to work harmoniously with others
• Requires standing for long periods of time
• Must pass standardized strength & agility testing requiring lifting up to 50 pounds
• Completion of Food Basics Safety Class within 2 months of hire
• Maintains high standards of sanitation and personal cleanliness
• Have reliable references
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Starting Salary: $15.60/hour - commensurate with experience

Requirements:

• All employees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis). If you've had a recent TB Test (less than 12 months ago) we can accept a copy of your test results. If it's been more than 1 year ago, you will be required to obtain a new test. Employees are responsible for the cost of the test.
• Must pass standardized strength & agility testing requiring lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must submit pre employment physical prior to first day of work.
