About the Position

Our client in Wisconsin is seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a 7-day assignment beginning Sep 28, 2026. This role involves 24-hour shifts, from 7a-7a, with key responsibilities including evaluating and managing patients requiring cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, performing necessary procedures, and providing definitive management for both emergent and elective cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Evaluate and manage patients needing cardiovascular/thoracic surgery
• Perform CV/CT procedures within scope of practice and privileges
• Make timely, independent operative decisions — proceed to surgery when indicated
• Provide definitive management for emergent, urgent, and elective cases
• Respond to consults with timely recommendations and disposition
• Manage perioperative/postoperative care, including complications
• Collaborate with anesthesia, critical care, cardiology, pulmonology, ED, and hospital medicine
• Take emergency surgical call as required
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and care teams

Additional Information
