Custodial PositionThe mission of BAC is to provide persons with disabilities innovative services and opportunities to achieve personal success.Perform custodial duties at our designated site in an efficient and effective manner. Reports to the site custodial leadership team.The list of essential functions below is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this job. Other duties may be assigned based on business need.Perform custodial work according to the specified contracted methods of cleaning.Cleaning responsibilities include: removal/disposal of trashcleaning of offices including dusting, vacuuming, and/or sweepingcleaning of restrooms including mopping, disinfecting, cleaning mirrors, partitions, toilets, and sinksstock paper and soap suppliesProperly dispose any hazardous waste materialMaintain supplies and equipment under established proceduresMay be required to set up and break down tables and chairs for special eventsPerform other specified custodial tasks as requestedNo minimum experience required. Must be able to pass a background screening for access to the work areas. Must pass a pre-employment drug test. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.Prior custodial work experience preferredIn addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.Must be able to work harmoniously in a team environment with a diverse workforce. Work at a reasonable pace for the job duties assigned and physical ability. Good communication skills (e.g., able to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints). Attentive to detail for quality performance. If required to drive, a current driver's license and clean driving record required. May be required to drive personal vehicle during work hours. This position does require the following: repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and prolonged standing. Will involve lifting/moving up to 40 pounds. Reasonable accommodations, when practical, can be offered to accomplish the above requirements.Tasks are regularly performed inside without exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes). Will need to use any personal protective (safety) equipment as designated properly and consistently. Involves exposure to hazardous materials (i.e., cleaning solutions and bio-waste hazards). Required inoculations and training provided by the company.
