Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantProbst Electric, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team in Caldwell, Idaho. Reporting to the Controller, this role supports day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of the company's financial operations while being part of a growing, high-performing team.What You'll DoPerform general ledger and cost accounting functions in support of construction operationsReconcile bank accounts and other general ledger accounts—collaborate with departments to resolve discrepanciesSupport preparation and filing of required federal, state, and local tax formsExecute month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentationMaintain compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and applicable regulationsIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and cross-departmental workflowWhat You'll BringDegree in Accounting or a related fieldExperience with JD Edwards is preferable, but not requiredPrior construction industry accounting experience preferred, but not requiredExperience supporting month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial reportingAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, with the ability to analyze and manage financial dataAbility to pass required drug and background screeningWhat You'll GetAt Probst Electric Inc., a proud subsidiary of Quanta Services (NYSE: PWR), you'll join a team that takes pride in delivering high-voltage transmission construction, design-build solutions, and maintenance services for public and private utilities.
