Starting as soon as possible, this contract position requires commitment for 1-2 days per week, providing crucial support to a self-contained, cross-category classroom serving grades 1 through 4.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current LBS1 endorsement required; candidates who have previously held a PEL with LBS1 will also be considered
• Previous experience teaching or supporting special education students, preferably at the elementary level
• Ability to create and adapt individualized learning plans and accommodations
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, parents, and students
• Compassion, adaptability, and a collaborative team-player mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support for elementary students (grades 1-4) within a self-contained, cross-category classroom setting
• Adapt curriculum, lessons, and assessments to meet diverse learning needs and IEPs
• Partner with classroom staff, therapists, and families to ensure student success
• Manage classroom routines, behavior plans, and foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
• Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust interventions as needed
