Job Description JOB SUMMARY: Seeking an experienced Power BI developer to join a marketing reporting and analytics (MRA) team to develop and deploy rich, clear marketing dashboards to measure key performance indicators and campaign performance metrics. These dashboards are used by a broad range of marketing teams to plan and optimize their campaigns for maximum performance. Working in partnership with the data science and strategies (DSS) team, the MRA team leverages a deep, complex BigQuery data environment that sources and combines data from many different marketing technology applications including, but not limited to: Marketo, Adobe Analytics, Salesforce, Sprinklr, Rainfocus, Bynder, along with NetApp-created applications. The Power BI senior developer would coordinate with MRA analysts to understand MRA stakeholder reporting requirements documented in business requirements documents and dashboard wireframes; work with DSS to enable the appropriate data sources and models, and ultimately build the required dashboard. The senior developer would also coordinate quality assurance testing of dashboards, evaluate dashboard performance and Power BI capacity impacts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Experienced in designing and developing complex dashboards with Power BI to advanced visualization techniques to meet business requirements, while ensuring data accuracy and consistency. Extensive knowledge and expertise in Power BI Desktop, including advanced data modeling, DAX and Power Query. Strong background in ETL processes related to the Power BI toolset. Proficiency in optimizing data models for large datasets and improving performance by enhancing backend processes, data models, database views, and SQL queries. Partner with the DSS team to optimize database objects (views/tables) based upon business requirements. Support production reports and production environment. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data refresh, capacity usage, connectivity, and performance. In partnership with the DSS team, incorporate new data sources from third party applications for use in dashboards and reports. Educate on best practices regarding topics like creative and communicative visualization techniques, dashboard and data model optimization for load speeds and capacity utilization, and other Power BI topics. Work with IT/Microsoft to support Power BI Marketing production environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Capability to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders. Support multiple analysts with their stakeholders’ reporting needs and the capacity to work on multiple dashboards simultaneously. Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.

REQUIRED SKILLS

10+ years overall experience in Business Intelligence, or Datawarehousing, or Analytics. 4+ years experience in Power BI as a dashboard developer with 2+ years experience supporting complex dashboards in a production environment. Expertise with SQL and handling complex large datasets in dashboards. Data modeling, DAX using Power BI. Deploying and managing dashboards in production environment, including developing a QA/UAT process to ensure proper functionality and data integrity.

NICE TO HAVE
