Dementia Caregiver

Schedule:

• Monday: 11:00 AM-3:00 PM
• Thursday: 12:00 PM-4:00 PM

Location: Cedarbrook

CareOne Senior Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable caregiver to provide care and support for a sweet male client in Rochester Hills. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a consistent part-time schedule while making a meaningful difference in a client's daily life.
Caregiver Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and engage the client in a supportive manner
• Maintain the client's safety throughout the shift
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Provide gait belt assistance as needed
• Assist with wheelchair mobility and safety
• Check and change briefs as needed
• Provide light housekeeping related to the client's care
• Accompany the client to physical therapy when scheduled
• Communicate with the client's wife and CareOne Senior Care regarding the client's needs and care
• Follow all CareOne Senior Care and Cedarbrook care requirements

The client's wife will be present in the home and available to assist as needed.
Qualifications

• Previous caregiving or home care experience preferred
• Experience assisting clients with gait belts and wheelchairs preferred
• Comfortable providing personal care and assistance with ADLs
• Dependable, reliable, and punctual
• Compassionate and professional
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work independently and follow the client's care plan

Requirements

• Must successfully pass a criminal background check
• Must have a current TB test or complete the required TB testing
• Must complete Cedarbrook's required third-party DocuSign paperwork
• Must meet all CareOne Senior Care hiring requirements
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the client's home
• Must be able to consistently work the scheduled Monday and Thursday shifts
