Public Contracting and Complex Litigation Associate

A law firm seeks a Public Contracting and Complex Litigation Associate in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience representing public agencies, focusing on contracting, procurement, construction, and related litigation matters. Duties Advise California public agencies on public contracting. Draft, review, and negotiate public agency agreements, including professional services and procurement contracts. Litigate California public works and construction disputes, including delay and defective work claims. Assist with broader public agency litigation, including CPRA compliance. Requirements Experience with California public agency representation. Significant litigation experience in public works and construction disputes. Strong writing, research, analytical, and advocacy skills. Client-service orientation and sound judgment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Admission to the State Bar of California. Skills Excellent writing and research abilities. Strong analytical and advocacy skills. Effective client-service orientation.
