Schedule

This is a night shift position, requiring a 3x12 hour schedule from 19:00 to 07:30. The position includes working every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a float pool covering various pediatric units including Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (no chemotherapy/infusions), pediatrics, adolescents, newborn nursery, and Special Care Nursery. The nurse will also take assignments in all areas of the organization, including Med/Surg, PICU, NICU, and Pediatric Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients across various units.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Float between departments based on needs and patient acuity.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent nursing experience in pediatric care.
• Active NJ or Compact RN License required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required; APHON preferred.
• Experience with IV pumps, pulse oximeters, and cardiac monitoring necessary.
