Title: Performance Expert (R2PC) – Ft. Benning, Georgia

Performance Expert (R2PC) focuses on strengthening the physical and psychological health, resilience, and performance of Soldiers, Unit Leaders, Families, and DOD civilians located at Army installations. The Resilience Training/Ready and Resilient Performance Center Program optimizes mental and physical health and supports existing Army training initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Instruct individuals in holistic approaches to strength, conditioning, and resilience; conduct training intake and registration, develop training plans, tailor and produce course material, facilitate training events, grade student materials, and document grades in required databases.
• Assess training impact by distributing surveys at the close of each training activity, summarizing results in an After‑Action Review (AAR), and submitting AARs to leadership within five workdays. Provide quarterly reports with analyses of all data.
• Maintain training records, observe instructors, provide feedback on delivery, and complete initial instructor certifications.
• Deliver instruction focused on resilience and performance enhancement, tying training to unit missions and higher‑level guidance. Build professional climates of trust, empower leaders with communication and counseling skills, develop critical thinking to overcome challenges, and provide tailored educational programs and workshops for personnel in demanding environments.

Required Education / Experience

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Counseling Education, Coaching Education, or Kinesiology with a specialized emphasis on sport and/or performance psychology.
• Teaching or coaching experience, preferably with military and DOD personnel.
• Thorough knowledge of the Army organizational structure, mission objectives, functions, procedures, regulations, and policy.
• Must be evaluated and certified prior to performing PE tasks.

Preferred Education / Experience

• Certifications or membership in a professional association related to the field of study (e.g., AASP, CMPC, ABSP) or ability to obtain such credentials within a year of hire.
